So, the best thing about staying up past midnight?
Perhaps being able to meet a posting requirement so that I can get it off my plate? For me, after midnight generally means that fresh podcasts are available and I can download the latest daily podcasts I listen to. Of course what follows is usually a delayed trip to bed as I am impatient and want to consume my new media immediately.
What are those daily podcasts? Well…the one’s that update at night? (There are other dailies but will hold those for another post.

And on Sunday, new episodes of This Week in Tech and This American Life.
Most weeks, I’m very behind in my podcast listening, but I’ve only got 3 items in my list that haven’t been listened to. At one point listening at the office wasn’t a problem. Lately though, I’ve been far to busy and focused to have that kind of background distraction and my unlistened list expands throughout the week. It’s only been the virtue of the long holiday weekend that has helped me whittle down the list.
I hate being behind and letting them sit on the hard drive so I try to knock them out as quickly as I can. My commute is short but I listen in the car so I can generally get through a couple hours a week at the very least by simply driving to and from the office.
However, if the Bex is in the car, we listen to music as he’s not yet interested in listening to the assorted poscasts that daddy listens to. I have a Bex-specific playlist to keep him entertained. (That too is for another day!)
Hope you learn something and enjoy the year-end post-a-thon.
